• Non-Structural: Cannot be used as structural elements in wall, ceiling, or floor assemblies.  
• Moisture & Steam Constraints: Water and moisture resistant, but not waterproof; must not be exposed to direct water contact (e.g. inside shower enclosures) or persistent high steam/saturation
• Thermal Proximity: Excessive heat above 75°C can damage the surface; required minimum clearances must be maintained from major heat sources like cooktops.

Compac Panels Acrylic, if designed, used, installed, and maintained in accordance with the conditions of Compac Panels' technical literature, will comply with, or contribute to compliance with, the following performance provisions of the NZ Building Code:  

• Clause B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1(c) 5 years.  
• Clause F2 HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS: Performance F2.3.1.  

Contribution to Compliance:

• B2.3.1(c): Supported by a 10-year manufacturer's warranty against faulty materials or lamination defects when handled, fabricated, and installed according to Compac Panels guidelines
• F2.3.1: New Zealand-manufactured MDF substrate meets Environmental Choice standards for formaldehyde emission levels of E0 (< 0.5mg/L), making it safe to machine and install.

• Environmental Choice Licensed Substrate: Standard MDF substrate conforms to E0 formaldehyde emission standards (< 0.5mg/L)
• FSC Certified Wood: Core wood fibers are sourced from FSC-certified, sustainably harvested New Zealand radiata pine forests
• Renewable Energy Manufacturing: Laminated in a New Zealand facility running on 100% electricity sourced from the national grid (82% renewable energy)
• Sustainable Waste Management: Cardboard packaging is recycled locally and timber waste offcuts are diverted to agricultural composting

Warranty & Maintenance

• Supported by a 10-year manufacturer's warranty against material defect or faulty workmanship when specified and installed in accordance with technical recommendations.
• Clean with a warm, damp microfibre cloth and wipe dry immediately. Mild household surface cleaner or dishwashing liquid can be used for persistent marks.
• Do not clean with abrasive powders, bleach, scouring pads, sandpaper, or harsh solvent thinners as these will permanently damage the surface and void the warranty.
