Description

Sonawood Tile is a made in New Zealand perforated wood panel with acoustic tissue backing designed to control unwanted noise in interiors spaces. Lay in panels sizes are to suit Rondo Donn® exposed grid standard modules. Sonawood™ is available in optional substrates, acoustic perforations, decorative veneer or paint finishes to meet individual project requirements.

  • An attractive high performance acoustic ceiling panel that is available in a range of standard sizes to suit Rondo Donn® exposed grid
  • Available in a range of standard slot and hole perforation patterns including custom designs and non-perforated panels to meet acoustic performance criteria
  • Broad range of substrates from laminated FR MDF, standard MDF or plywood
  • Natural veneer and plywood options provide the warmth of natural wood and are typically clear coated
  • Melamine laminate woodgrain options provide excellent consistency of colour and pattern at lower cost
  • Coatings options include UV coatings, two pack for a premium look or lower cost powder coat finishes
  • Fire Group 3, 2-S, 1-S performance subject to substrate and open area selected
  • NRC 0.1 up to 0.80 subject to perforation patter
  • CAC 35 with Triton 50HD backing
  • Asona in-house design service for shop drawings prior to manufacture. Ideal to integrate M/E services, borders etc

Scope of Use
  • Lay in panels sizes are to suit Rondo Donn® exposed grid standard modules.
  • Sonawood features a durable woodgrain appearance with easy access to plenum services
  • Ideal for corporate office, hotel, retail, receptions, boardrooms, schools and sports centres
Limitations on Use
  • Not for exterior use
  • Installation shall not commence until the building is watertight and dry
  • Light fittings shall be independently supported
  • Backloading max. 0.5 kg/m², point loads shall be independently supported
  • Use hold down clips in areas for seismic or wind uplift
  • Not for air return plenums
  • Follow industry standard installation methods for two way exposed ceiling systems. For seismic design please consult a structural engineer
