A Resplendent Renovation with The Tile Depot

When these Auckland homeowners decided to renovate their functional but slightly outdated bathroom, they found everything they needed at The Tile Depot for a resplendent transformation.

With a keen eye and passion for design, The Tile Depot’s Karen Syddall, was able to design every detail of this bathroom makeover with stunning results. The client brief was to create a light and spacious bathroom with timeless appeal and 5-star luxury resort character. Ms Syddall instantly drew upon one of her favourite tiles, Fluido Luna Natural for the basis of the design.

A light, stone-effect Italian porcelain with a gorgeous smooth matt finish, Fluido Luna has the appearance of cut and honed stone slabs with soft vein patterning and a strong sense of luxury. Held in stock in 400 x 800mm, an indent order of 600 x 1200mm was made for this space. To complete the transformation, stacked stone panelling, Parallels Cladding Gold Slate, was added as a striking feature element. The effect is instant transportation to a glamorous holiday resort.

Bucking the trend of freestanding baths, the existing inbuilt bath was retained and surrounded by the feature stone tiles. A wall hung vanity and matching cabinetry was supplied by the Tile Depot and drew from the colours in the feature stone. Keeping them wall hung further added to the sense of spaciousness in this bathroom design.

Not only were the tiles and cabinetry supplied by The Tile Depot, but also almost every element in this bathroom including the bathware, tapware, LED mirror, and accessories. The tiler who undertook the tiling used adhesives, grout, silicone and various other materials, all supplied by The Tile Depot.

So for complete bathroom renovations and assistance with design and tile selection, the Tile Depot has everything on offer to realise a client's bathroom dreams.
