T50 Cladding Support System for Equitone Fibre Cement

Equitone fibre cement is a through-coloured high-density material with exceptional design flexibility. The surface displays the inner texture and colour of the core fibre cement material. Equitone materials can achieve flawless intricate details whilst also being resistant to extreme weather conditions and temperatures, proven after decades of performance in New Zealand conditions.

As well as solutions on timber battens and zinc-alum top hats, Equitone cladding is carried by SPS Building's T50 system. The T50 Cladding Support System is a drained and ventilated cavity system based on the concept of vertical-only aluminium rails and variable support brackets. The T50 System excels due to its simplicity, and provides enhanced safety against weathering, and building performance while maintaining unparalleled versatility and flexibility when creating cavities between 65 and 600mm wide. These larger cavities enable the opportunity to adopt and deliver the European standards of externally insulated building envelopes. The system is designed to deliver a high performance and aesthetic cladding application while still remaining economical and competitive price.

T50 is highly suitable for multi-level developments, providing options for both simple and complex facade layouts, and is engineered to fit over standard NZS3604 timber framing without the need for doubling up of timber studs. SPS will be releasing other new installation options in the very near future.
