Porter's Paints Open New Auckland Showroom

This new purpose-built showroom situated in the up-and-coming designer precinct of New North Road, Kingsland, has been designed to showcase a variety of Porter’s stunning colours and finishes. This inspirational space is for designers, architects, painters and consumers to visit and bring their clients for one-on-one expert advice on all things Porter’s. Anoushka Haskell is the new full-time showroom manager.

The showroom offers designers the chance to experience the products for themselves. The rich colours and textures used in-situ and applied in large samples allow designers to touch and feel the surfaces when selecting the right product for their project.

Each handcrafted colour is painted onto large samples allowing designers to confidently choose the perfect colours to work with all the elements in a project. If a special colour design is needed, designers can come and talk to the team who can create one.

Anoushka Haskell has joined the Porters Paints business to manage the showroom. She has a background in colour and design.

Porter's products used in the design of the showroom include Distemper Prussian Green, Fresco Aquarelle with stucco wax, Palm Beach Black, Eggshell Acrylic Van Heisling and Palm Beach White.

Porter's Palm Beach Black is a water-based, colourfast black stain for all timber types.

Porter's Palm Beach Black is suitable for exterior or interior applications. Excellent for use on exterior plywood, garden furniture, weatherboard, shingle or interior furniture and floorboards.

Can be applied by brush, roller lamb's wool applicator or spray gun.

Drying times: 30mins touch dry. 4hrs between coats. 24hrs after final coat. Can be sealed with Porter's Clearcote 72hrs after final coat.

Fresco

Porter's Fresco is a hard wearing finish designed to replicate the cool lustre of the trowelled plaster walls of ancient European buildings.

Porter's Fresco is suitable for residential or commercial interiors. Can be applied to most suitably prepared plasterboard, plaster, masonry and previously painted surfaces.

Fresco is usually applied by trowel. If applying by brush a rough finish will result. It is recommended to use a professional applicator.

Drying times: Base coat should be 2-3mm thick. Allow 24hrs dry time between coats. 2-3 coats are recommended. Sanding between coats is required. Allow to dry 24hrs prior to application of Stucco Wax.

Porter's Eggshell Acrylic is a premium quality low VOC acrylic paint that gives walls and other surfaces a low reflective finish with a subtle, natural lustre.

Green Tag Certified

Suitable for interior or exterior use. Can be applied to most suitably prepared plasterboard, plaster, wood, masonry and previously painted surfaces.

Can be applied with brush, roller and spray-gun.

Drying times - 1hr touch dry. 2hrs between coats. 6hrs after final coat.
