What is CoreClad Primed?

CoreClad Primed is a textured plywood cladding that is treated to the core and supplied with a premium acrylic primer. It offers superior strength, durability, and reliability.

Applications

CoreClad Primed has been designed for residential and light commercial applications. Is it suitable in all wind zones and exposure zones.

Uses a factory-applied premium acrylic primer which provides an optimal base coat for acrylic topcoat systems — supporting finish quality and long-term performance.
Eliminates the need for a primer coat to be applied once installed, saving time and money.
Face, edges, and bottom 150mm of the back of the sheet are fully primed, allowing for faster onsite installation.

Specifying dark colours: How to maximise performance with CoreClad Primed

To ensure maximum product performance and longevity, particularly when using dark-coloured exterior cladding, it is critical that the following steps are followed:

CoreClad Primed must be used.
Use Dulux Weathershield Colourguard or Resene CoolColour for best results.
3 topcoats must be applied. Not only will your exterior cladding look better it will perform better too.
Carry out regular paint maintenance. The use of dark paint colours requires an increase in coating maintenance over the lifetime of the cladding.

In wind zones up to extra high, as defined in NZS 3604:2011 or to a design wind pressure (ULS) of 2.5kPa
In all corrosion zones as defined in NZS 3604:2011
In conjunction with a primary structure that complies with the NZ Building Code, or where the designer and/or installer has established that the existing structure is suitable for the intended building work
CoreClad may be direct fixed or installed over a drained, ventilated cavity
