Greenfirst, a Laminex New Zealand^® initiative, is a holistic approach to supporting sustainable building practices and delivering environmentally preferable products through a range of industry initiatives and employing latest technologies.

Laminex New Zealand recognises that specifiers and homeowners want assurance that the products used in homes, buildings or living spaces contribute to a healthy living or work environment. Working closely with industry experts such as New Zealand Green Building Council, Laminex NZ offers a suite of products that help maximise Green Star and Home Star credits. Laminex NZ is also able to support Living Building Challenge projects with Red-List Free Declared materials.

With a commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, Laminex NZ has developed a range of environmentally preferable solutions that meet, or exceed, typical industry recommendations. To ensure transparency across all aspects of the manufacturing and production process, Laminex NZ has an online resource centre with technical documentation and product certification available for download.

Caesarstone is an engineered stone for use in benchtops and other interior applications.

Caesarstone quartz surfaces are non-porous, waterproof, mould and mildew resistant — suitable for kitchen benchtops and splashbacks as well as bathroom vanities and wall linings
Caesarstone is compliant with the International Health and Safety Foundation sanitary standard, ensuring that its working surfaces are safe for use in all food environments

When fabricated and installed by a certified Caesarstone fabricator, Caesarstone will meet the following provisions of the NZBC:

Clause B2 Durability: Will remain fit for purpose for 10 years
Clause C3 Fire effecting areas beyond fire source: Has material group number of 3 when tested to ISO 5660
Clause E3 Internal Moisture (E3.3.4 and E3.3.5): Surfaces are impervious to moisture and are easily cleaned

Laminex Panels for Partitions Compact Laminate is strong, self supporting, moisture resistant and durable decorative panel made from thermosetting resins, homogeneously reinforced with cellulose fibres and manufactured under high pressure and temperature.

Laminex Compact and Laboratory Compact are suitable for use in applications such as shower and toilet cubicles, interior wall linings, tabletops, lockers, office furniture, laboratory workshops (lab grade only), kitchen cabinets and benchtops.

Melteca decorated board is intended for interior use in both residential and commercial applications such as kitchen cabinetry, cupboards, drawers, shelving, furniture, wall linings, shop fittings and other vertical surfaces in commercial environments.

Melteca Fire Retardant is suitable for all wall linings where maximum fire resistance is important.

When stored, handled, used and maintained in accordance with the Melteca Technical Data Sheet, Melteca will meet the durability requirements of NZBC B2.3.1(c) for 5 years. Melteca also complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 1859.3 2005.

Strandfloor products can be laid in all weathers, and can be walked on immediately
Strandfloor Tongue & Groove required no nogs, and therefore less nailing. They are optimum sizes that suit most applications, enabling fast, continuous installation
Strandfloor H3.1 Square Edge and Strandfloor H3.1 Tongue & Groove are premium iterations designed specifically for wet areas. Close-in period has been extended by an additional 50% to twelve weeks

Strandfloor products comply with the sheet flooring requirements of the New Zealand Building Code.

If designed, and installed in accordance with the technical literature Strandfloor and Strandfloor H3.1 will meet the following provisions of the NZBC:
