New to our shores is Fletco Carpets, bringing a Scandinavian, timeless style coupled with robust performance. Heritage Carpets have partnered with them because they are unique, innovative, and focused on sustainable manufacturing.

Style

Fletco offers predominantly flat-weave carpets — low profile, loop pile. This style of manufacture means the carpets are extremely hardy, rated heavy commercial.

Different designs offer different weave patterns, all in beautifully understated tones.

Carpet ranges

• 1 x 80% wool heavy commercial broadloom — Højer Kontrakt
• 9 x nylon broadlooms in loop pile — of note Uno and Duo in 37 colours each
• 1 x nylon broadloom in cut pile
• 2 x lock-tile designs — like jigsaw pieces, they lay seamlessly to look like broadloom.
• 2 x zigzag tile designs — 2 x straight edges, 2 x laser cut interlocking edges
• 2 x digitally printed ranges
• 1 x shaped tiles range — nine different shapes

Unique products

• LockTiles have the European Patent and are the only solution that ensures minimally visible joints between flat woven carpet tiles. In some situations, these can be laid without adhesive.
• Højer Kontrakt Original is a heavy commercial, loop pile broadloom made from 80% new wool — 70% is NZ wool
• Layers by Sebastian Wrong are digitally printed, woven loop pile tiles are made entirely from PET — recycled bottles — both the yarn and the TEXtiles backing.
• Wrong Weave by Sebastian Wrong is available in nine tile shapes each in 18 colours that will blow your creative mind.
• Artweave are digitally printed tiles in four designs that look like distressed wood and stone, but with the advantages of soft flooring.
• TEXTiles Backing is made of 100% recycled PET, equivalent to minimum 50 x 0.5L rPET bottles per m². Absolutely no bitumen, PVC, latex or other harmful substances.
• EcoTEX + ECOTiles backings have felt backing made from > 85% recycled PET.

Sustainability

Fletco manufacture in their own facility, which is 100% wind-powered. Their machinery is designed to be flexible so they can adapt as the market requires and technology responds. They are committed to pursuing their sustainability goals.

Using recycled PET for some of their yarns and backings, EcoTEX has won awards including double honours at the German Design Award 2021, as it was awarded both a Winner and Special Mention prize in the category Excellent Product Design.

The lightweight, low profile designs mean shipping volume and weight are reduced, thereby assisting with reducing emissions.
