Specify GIB Rondo for Strong, Reliable Ceilings

Don't gamble with alternatives, specify GIB Rondo metal ceiling battens on upcoming projects to ensure superior results, improved finishes, and significantly reduce the risk of costly call backs.

Winstone Wallboards Limited recommends as best practice the use of metal battens as a stable substrate for GIB plasterboard in ceilings.

There are many reasons for specifying GIB Rondo metal ceiling battens, including:

  • Timber can move with changes in moisture and temperature, whereas metal battens hold no moisture which results in a more stable substrate so the risk of cracking, popping and peaking is greatly reduced.
  • Straight and level ceilings are easier to achieve, creating a superior finish. Laser true ceilings can be achieved regardless of deviations in the substrate with use of adjustable clips and an independent perimeter channel.
  • GIB Rondo metal ceiling battens are specifically designed for GIB plasterboard and are fully tested as a complete system, perfect for New Zealand conditions.
