Sun Tunnel — Pitched Roofs Flexible TWF
Description

Velux sun tunnels are designed to provide daylight in any room where you need light without a sky view. The Velux flexible and rigid sun tunnels provide installation flexibility. Flexible sun tunnels can be used when the distance between the roof and the ceiling is too small for a rigid sun tunnel.

Key Features
  • 350mm diameter with EdgeGlow double glazed diffuser
  • Standard length is 1500mm
  • Use where ceiling to roof distance is between 400-1500mm  
  • Flat roof module with 4 mm toughened glass and a removable sash
  • Glass has an easy to clean coating on the outside
  • Integral flashing for profiled metal or tile roofing
Scope of Use
  • Velux sun tunnels for pitched roofs can be installed in roofs with 15° to 60° pitches
  • Wind zones up to and including Extra High 
Limitations on Use

For a roof below 15° use the Velux sun tunnel for low-pitch roofs.

Meets the New Zealand Building Code requirements for:

  • B2 - Durability (15 years)
  • E3 - External Moisture (tested to AS4285)
  • F2 - Hazardous Building Materials
  • G4 - Natural Ventilation (can be used to meet the G4 requirements)
  • G7 - Natural Light (can be used to meet the G7 requirements)
  • H1 - Energy Efficiency (exceeds the minimum R-value requirements for skylights in all climate zones)
