Aluminium Corner Join Profiles
Description

Stickman aluminium corner join profiles bring MDF and other wood composite panels together at corners, providing precise alignment and protecting exposed edges from wear and impact.

The range includes external, internal, angled and non-mitred corners, with round, square, flat and Linear head styles for different architectural details.

Finish options include silver anodised aluminium and mill finish suitable for powder coating to match or contrast with surrounding materials.

Key Features
  • Round, square, flat and linear head styles offer different corner details, from subtle rounded corners to sharper, more defined architectural finishes.
  • Profiles for 90-degree external and internal corners, 135-degree angled joins and specialist panel configurations.
  • Legless profile options allow tight internal fits for column cladding and other applications where space is limited.
  • Non-mitred corner profiles provide alternative solutions where mitring panels is impractical or unnecessary.
  • Selected profiles are available in mill finish aluminium suitable for powder coating, allowing corners to match surrounding materials or form a contrasting design detail. Anodised finishes are also available.
  • Profile options accommodate panel thicknesses from 9 mm to 25 mm, depending on the selected product.
  • Compatible profiles can be combined with Stickman panel edges and butt joins for consistent detailing across an interior.

Corner Join profile options:

  • Standard external corners – Round and square head profiles for 90-degree joins in 12 mm, 16 mm and 18 mm panels (MC12, MC16, MCS16, MC18, MCS18).
  • Linear corners – MCLNCORN for 18 mm panels, with raised or flush detailing. Also suitable for exposed internal corners. Part of the coordinated Stickman Linear System.
  • Flat head corners – MC18LP provides a low-profile corner detail for 18 mm panels, including visible internal corners.
  • Legless corners – MC90 and MCS90 offer round and square head details for column cladding and tight internal fits, suitable for selected panel thicknesses from 16 mm to 25 mm.
  • Angled and specialist corners – MC135 for 135-degree panel joins; MC18X for specialised slatwall applications.
  • Non-mitred corners – RA18 for 18 mm panels and C09 for 9 mm panels, allowing external corners to be formed without mitring.
  • Three-way corner joins – MC3 (Round) and MC3SQ (Square) injection-moulded connectors complete junctions where compatible corner and edge profiles meet, eliminating the need for complex three-way mitring. Available in satin chrome or matte grey finishes.

Scope of Use

Suitable for MDF and other wood composite panels in dry interior applications, including:

  • Architectural wall panelling and feature walls requiring consistent, defined corner details.
  • External 90-degree corners where panel edges require protection against impact and wear.
  • Internal corners where the junction is left visible as part of the architectural detail.
  • Feature columns, boxed-out structures and column cladding, including applications requiring tight internal fits.
  • Angled wall panelling and joinery requiring 135-degree corner profiles.
  • Cabinetry, counters, furniture and architectural joinery where consistent corner detailing is required.
  • Retail fit-outs, hospitality spaces, offices, public environments and residential interiors, particularly where exposed corners are subject to regular use.
  • Non-mitred panel construction, including wall linings and applications where panel mitring is impractical.
  • Three-way junctions where compatible corner and edge profiles intersect.

Stickman corner profiles can be coordinated with matching panel edges, butt joins and the Linear System to maintain consistent detailing throughout a project.

Limitations on Use
  • Intended for dry interior applications. Suitability for exterior, wet-area or other demanding environments must be confirmed with Stickman.
  • Profile selection must account for panel material, thickness, corner angle, required head detail and available finishes.
  • Most corner profiles require accurately mitred and machined panels. RA18 and C09 are designed for non-mitred applications.
  • Three-way corner connectors are injection-moulded components designed for use with specified compatible round or square Stickman profiles.
  • Panels must be prepared and profiles installed in accordance with the relevant technical drawings and installation instructions.
  • Finish availability varies by profile. Confirm the selected finish and powder-coating requirements before specifying.
