WrapStrap™ – House wrap strapping, is a Polythene embossed strap that is installed around the building wrap to keep the insulation in place and prevent it from bulging into the cavity for buildings with a drained cavity application.
As per NZBC The Buildingwrap requires to be restrained from bulging into a drained cavity where stud spacings are greater than 450 mm. This to prevent the building wrap and insulation from protruding into the drained cavity. Acceptable means of achieving this are by using: WrapStrap at 300mm centres fixed horizontally and drawn taut. WrapStrap™ can also be used as a support for non-self supporting roof underlay.
