A two-component, self-levelling, neutral-coloured, highly flexible polyurethane binder with fillers, certified with an Environmental Product Declaration and VOC content tested.
Key Features
Pigmented, low-viscosity, high solid content polyurethane resin-based formulate
Very good elasticity
Strong crack-bridging property even at low temperatures down to -20°C
Good resistance to mechanical stresses
Low VOC emission (CDHP standard)
It can contribute to LEED credits
EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) compliant
Complies with the principles defined in EN 1504-9 (“Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures - Definitions, requirements, quality control and evaluation of conformity - General principles for the use of products and systems”)and the minimum requirements of EN 1504-2, coating (C) according to the PI, MC, PR and IR principles (“Surface protection systems for concrete”).
Mapefloor PU 400 LV is used to create elastic waterproof resin systems for concrete floorings of parking lots in the following situations:
As a highly elastic waterproof membrane for the Mapefloor Parking System HE, compliant the requirements of the class OS 11a (EN 1504-2)
As an elastic waterproof wearing layer for the Mapefloor Parking System ME, compliant the requirements of the class OS 11b (EN 1504-2)
For further information regarding the characteristics of each system, please refer to the relevant data sheets
Limitations on Use
Do not apply Mapefloor PU 400 LV on cementitious substrates with a moisture content higher than 4% or with capillary rising damp (contact MAPEI Technical Services).
Do not dilute Mapefloor PU 400 LV with solvent or water.
Do not apply Mapefloor PU 400 LV on dusty or crumbling substrates.
Do not apply Mapefloor PU 400 LV on substrates with oil or grease stains or with stains in general.
Do not apply Mapefloor PU 400 LV on substrates that have not been treated with Primer SN, or with another specific primer, or that have not been prepared as specified.
Do not mix partial quantities of the components to avoid mixing errors; the product may not harden correctly.
Do not expose the mixed product to sources of heat.
Protect the product from water for at least 24 hours after application.
If areas where the product is being applied need to be warmed up, use electric heaters only (heaters that run
on fossil fuels give off carbon dioxide and water vapour that could affect the finish of the coating).
The temperature of the substrate during the application and the hardening must be at least 3°C higher than the dew-point temperature. The air relative humidity must be max. 80%.
