Triton Sports 40
Description

Triton Sports 40™ is a ball impact resistant high sound absorbing and thermal insulating acoustic ceiling system. Panels feature a smooth, high density glass fabric facing, reinforced aluminium foil backing and are held within a heavy duty wide faced grid system with proprietary hold down clips. The system is designed to provide high sound absorption in areas subject to impact, knocks and bumps.

Manufactured in New Zealand from 96 kg/m³ bio-soluble glass fibre board laminated with woven glass fibre fabric facing and aluminium foil backing.

Key Features
  • Impact resistant construction, resists damage from bumps and knocks. Chip, crack and puncture-resistant facing
  • Wide faced heavy duty Rondo Donn® DXW suspension grid system with proprietary CLW95 hold down clips at 300mm centres to secure panels during impact
  • High sound absorption, ideal for large volume spaces. NRC 0.95 for control of reverberation
  • R1.35 thermal insulation, foil back to reflect radiant energy
  • Light weight system at 4.3 kg/m² reduces load on the structure and is ideal for seismic prone areas
  • Green Tag Certified / Level A, low VOC, core contains 80% recycled post consumer waste glass
  • Made in NZ, short lead times including replacement parts
  • Packaging take back and reuse scheme available
  • Product stewardship renew and reuse program
  • ISO 9001 registered quality management program

Limitations on Use
  • Shall not commence until the building is water tight and dry
  • Light fittings shall be independently supported
  • Must use CLW95 hold down brackets at 300mm centres to secure panels against uplift from ball impact
  • It is recommended that air grilles be installed in the ceiling to balance air pressure differentials
  • Do not use in ceilings with negative air return plenums
  • Back loading — Max. uniformly distributed load 1 kg/m², point loads shall be independently supported.
  • Max 95% R/H at 45°C
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Fire Reaction — NZBC verification method C/VM2 material group number: 1-S
  • Clause B2 — durability, 5 years
