Description

AO-Gami™ is an innovative light weight open cell decorative acoustic ceiling finish designed for commercial interiors. The ‘acoustic paper’ is formed into tubes, grouped into modules and suspended from tensioned horizontal catenary wires with proprietary suspension hooks. AO-Gami™ helps diffuse light in a soft and translucent way and has been used successfully under illuminated coffers and beneathsky lights and glazed conservatories.

Scope of Use

AO-Gami™ is ideal as a sculptural feature to work with existing lighting systems or on it's own in cloud formations as part of an acoustic system.

Especially suited to high-end corporate, civic and hospitality environments.

Limitations on Use

For interior use only, and not in direct contact with water.
Not for use with negative air return plenums.
Maximum humidity/temperature 99% R/H at 45°C.
No back loading. Any services loads to be independently supported.

NZ Building Code Compliance:

B2 Durability – Clause B2.3.1 (c) (i): Asona AO-Gami with only normal maintenance will have a minimum durability of at least 5 years when

installed in accordance with; manufacturer’s installation requirements and AS/NZS 2785:2020.

C3 Fire – Clause C/AS2 4.12.1: Asona AO-Gami has a Fire Material Group Number 1-S by NZBC Building Product Specification Parts 8.5.4 or 8.5.5, tested in accordance with ISO 9705 or ISO 5660. (NCC BCA C1.10 clause 4, spec A2.4 clause 4. Group 1)

In-Service History

AO-Gami is a unique new product launched for the first time as a lantern feature in the ASB Queen Street flagship branch on 20th April 2015.

Environmental impact: High embodied energy, 100% recyclable, contains 85% recycled glass content; packaging take back and reuse scheme available (NZ only).
Humidity: Non hydroscopic, dimensionally stable, max. 100% R/H.
Porous material for sound absorption. NRC 0.45 E-400.
Super light weight at around 0.5 kg/m².
Maintenance: Clean with vacuum, soft brush or damp cloth. Scuff marks can be removed by light use of fine grade sandpaper.
