Burgess’s Rebond Tiles Revamp the Millennium Institute of Sport and Health NZ

The purpose of the installation was to enhance athlete comfort while ensuring properties of non-slip, impact absorbency, high durability and reduced noise and vibration were facilitated.

Other gym and sport-related installations include Yarrows Stadium in New Plymouth (300m2), Hamilton Rugby Park (800m2), Hurricanes training facility (150m2), Thorndon Quay BodyWorks gym (300m2), and Palmerston North Rugby Institute including weights and changing rooms (400m2).

Also, BMS is currently fitting out the Jetts Gyms throughout New Zealand, with two completed in Wellington, five in Auckland and 13 more scheduled over the next six months.

There were two key attributes that these facilities asked for from Burgess products: noise/sound reduction, as the gyms are often multiple stories high, and a superior non-slip surface for rugby players walking and running in sprigs. The Rebond tiles meet both users' and owners' expectations as the durable surfaces continue to serve the desired functional purpose.
