Reduce CO² Emissions with Modulyss

Global warming is probably the world’s most serious challenge and threatens future generations. Steps need to be taken to improve the situation as fast as possible. At modulyss, they are rising to this global challenge and have made selected carpet tiles available with low CO2 emissions in their CO2RE carbon offset initiative.

Carbon offsetting is a proven model that means low CO2 status can be achieved for their carpet tiles. Selecting just how best to offset CO2 emissions is no easy task and so modulyss partnered with Belgium’s leading authority on the subject, CO2logic. They have worked together to make sure CO2RE delivers a long-term sustainable model for offsetting CO2 emissions.

CO2RE comes as standard on the Handcraft collection; Moss, Leaf, Willow & Grind and is available on request on all other modulyss carpet tile collections.

Portuguese bank, Banco BAI Europa which overlooks the beautiful city of Lisbon, chose carpet tiles from this range. The organic patterns of Moss and Grind were selected. These carpet tiles offer a biophilic design that complements the light-toned wood and marble. Grind, one of the modulyss minituft collections, offers an extra grainy texture, as opposed to Moss, which is soft to the touch.

modulyss & CO2logic will calculate remaining greenhouse gas emissions for projects. This value is turned into a CO2 equivalent for which credits are purchased. With those credits, modulyss supports a certified climate project to the full CO2 equivalent.

Currently, modulyss supports the Paradigm Project in Kenya so it can further reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
