ACO Polycrete Pty Ltd, innovator and manufacturer of ACO modular drainage systems has launched Threshold Drain, a product solution for entry thresholds designed to suit New Zealand building code requirements.

Developed for balconies, general outdoor decks and entertainment areas, Threshold Drain functions to stop rainwater transgressing past the entrance threshold of buildings as well as collecting runoff from doors during storms. Its cantilever bracketing system is designed to be anchored between successive concrete pours beneath exposed slabs, tiles or pavers.

Threshold Drain is intended to be installed adjacent to entrance doors and complies with the prescribed requirements of the New Zealand Building Code for Surface Water - NZBC E2. Furthermore, the system can be adapted to any width drainage trench.

Threshold Drain can accommodate seven grate types, comprising five different grate pattern designs complying with Clause 9 - AS1428.2, Access and Mobility, ensuring safe passage of walking canes and wheelchairs. High-heel-safe grate options are also offered, including the widely specified Heelguard ^® grate.
