  • with profiled metal roof cladding; and,
  • situated in NZS 3604 Wind Zones up to, and including Extra High

The VENT Ventilated Apron Vent (RV10P Half) is recommended on all abutment details and on all mono pitched skillion roof types irrespective of the degree of the pitch of in order to draw the airflow through these tight roof designs. The RV10P Half is essential to allow the natural convection action of rising warm air maintains a continuous airflow along the underside of the roof.

The vent is placed over the roof cladding and under the flashing detail. It is fixed by means of adhesive flashing tape that secures the RV10P Half into position. The steel flashing is then placed over the top and fixed through the vent into the top timber batten or steel purlin as per usual practice. The adhesive flashing tape has a 60% flexibility and has been tested on roofing steel roofing profiles with a rib height of up to 46mm, which enables suitability to most steel roofing profiles. The adhesive tape creates a water type seal which prevents driving rain or water from entering the roof.

The product can be utilised on both residential and commercial projects.

Limitations on Use
