Resene FX Faux Rust Effect
Description

Resene FX Faux Rust Effect is a waterborne coating system used to create a rust style effect for a range of exterior surfaces.

Once applied, it provides the aesthetic effect of rusting that, like normal rust, will continue to develop as the coating ages.

Scope of Use

Ideal to create a rust style effect on exterior and interior surfaces

Typical uses:

  • Blockwork
  • Concrete
  • Fibre cement
  • G.R.C. panels
  • Primed timber
  • Solid plaster
Limitations on Use
  • Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or when it is liable to drop below this during the drying period
  • Not designed for direct to metal applications
  • Will continue to rust after application
  • Avoid use on contact areas as the finish may cause marking if brushed against
  • Small amounts of rust coloured runoff can occur even with the protected surface, for approximately one month (weather dependent) while unbound rust is washed from the surface
  • Not recommended on opening sashes and doors
  • Must be used as a complete system
