• Suitable for light commercial vehicle access ways, visitor parking zones, and pedestrian pathways.  
• Compatible with integrated slot drains, channel grates, and drive-over lighting systems.  
• Applicable across all New Zealand climate zones, exposure zones, and wind classifications.   

• Driveway slab thickness, subgrade compaction, reinforcement, and expansion joint spacing must be designed in accordance with NZS 3604, NZS 3109, or specific engineering requirements based on anticipated vehicle loads.
• Smooth steel-trowelled or polished finishes are not suitable for exterior driveways or paths due to slip and traction hazards under wet conditions.
• Final colour appearance may vary depending on local cement supplies, regional aggregate sources, water-cement ratios, and curing methods; site sample mock-ups are recommended prior to placement.
• Exterior sealers must be applied to thoroughly dry, fully cured concrete within specified ambient temperature ranges as directed in PeterFell technical literature.

PeterFell Driveways and Paths, if designed, used, installed, and maintained in accordance with the conditions of PeterFell’s technical documents, will comply with, or contribute to compliance with, the following performance provisions of the NZ Building Code:  

• Clause B1 STRUCTURE: Performance B1.3.1, B1.3.2, and B1.3.4 (contributes to structural performance when engineered in accordance with NZS 3604 or specific design)  
• Clause B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1(a) 50 years (for structural slab), B2.3.1(b) 15 years, and B2.3.1(c) 5 years (for sealers and surface treatments)  
• Clause D1 ACCESS ROUTES: Performance D1.3.3(d) (slip resistance for exterior walkways and access routes)  
• Clause E2 EXTERNAL MOISTURE: Performance E2.3.2 (when specified with correct falls, drainage, and sealers)  
• Clause F2 HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS: Performance F2.3.1  

Contribution to Compliance:

• B1 Structure: Contributes to structural requirements when concrete mix design, thickness, and subgrade preparation comply with NZS 3604, NZS 3109, and project engineering specifications.  
• B2 Durability: Inorganic Bayferrox iron oxide pigments are lightfast and UV-stable for the design life of the structure. Protective surface sealers maintain slab integrity when reapplied according to PeterFell maintenance schedules.  
• D1 Access Routes: Exterior textured finishes (such as Medium Trowel, Sandstone/acid-etched, or Bush Hammered) achieve compliant wet slip resistance under AS 4586 / NZBC D1/AS1 for pedestrian access routes.  
• E2 External Moisture: Integrated concrete slabs installed with appropriate falls away from building envelopes prevent water pooling and sub-slab moisture accumulation.  
• F2 Hazardous Building Materials: Cured coloured concrete and non-toxic surface sealers release no hazardous substances and are safe for human contact.
