Metro Door Seals and Components are intended for use with compatible Metro frameless glass door systems.

Typical applications include:

• Fixed sidelights adjacent to doors

• Residential internal glass doors
• Selected sheltered exterior door systems

Components must be selected for the relevant door system, glass thickness, panel dimensions, loading, environmental exposure and operating requirements.

• Components must only be used with compatible glass thicknesses and door systems.
• Seals reduce gaps but do not automatically make a frameless door weathertight, airtight, acoustic rated or thermally rated.
• Exposure to wind driven rain, exterior pressure and direct weather requires assessment of the complete entrance system.
• Floor guides, tracks and fixings require suitable substrates and accurate installation.
• External hardware must be suitable for the relevant corrosion and environmental exposure.
• Components designed for internal use must not be installed externally.
• Seals must not interfere with the safe operation, closing force or accessibility of the door.
• Replacement components should match the original system and performance requirements.
• Hardware finishes may vary according to product, material and availability.
• Door systems used on escape routes or accessible routes require project-specific assessment.
• Final component selection and compatibility must be confirmed with Metro.

Door seals and components do not independently establish compliance. Compliance must be assessed for the complete installed door, including the glass, hardware, seals, tracks, framing, supporting substrates and building interfaces.

• Selected seals can help reduce air leakage around frameless doors.
• Seals may support improved acoustic and thermal separation when used as part of an appropriately designed assembly.
• 316 stainless steel components are available for selected internal and external applications.
• Anodised aluminium rails and tracks are available for selected systems.
• Nylon rollers, guides and inserts support quieter and smoother operation in applicable sliding systems.
• Component capacity depends on the selected glass thickness, door size, weight and operating arrangement.
• Durability depends on environmental exposure, material selection, installation and maintenance.
• No acoustic, thermal, air leakage or weathertightness rating should be stated unless supported by testing of the complete door assembly.

Warranty & Maintenance

• Warranty coverage is subject to the applicable Metro and hardware-manufacturer warranty terms.
• Warranty periods may differ between glass, patch fittings, closers, seals and other components.
• Refer to product-specific warranty documents for coverage, exclusions and claim requirements.
• Regularly clean and inspect tracks, seals, guides, pivots, fixings and drainage paths.
• Remove accumulated dirt and debris that may restrict door movement or drainage.
• Replace seals that have hardened, split, detached or become permanently compressed.
• Lubricate moving components only where recommended by the hardware manufacturer.
• Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaning products on seals, anodised aluminium or stainless steel.
• Check fasteners and adjustment points periodically, particularly in high-use commercial applications.
