Description

This is a complete system for the installation of porphyry and cobblestones over 25mm thick on external floors.

Particularly suitable for historical areas in town and city centres, the system performs in strength, efficiency (short down-time), resistance to extreme weather, and ability to be installed on uneven ground.

In accordance with industry best practises and documentation, the system consists of an installation mortar, grout, and sealant.

Scope of Use

For exterior use of porphyry and cobblestones >25mm
Can be used to install paving elements with an even or irregular thickness and particularly thick and/or trapezoidal shaped elements on compact installation beds
Suitable for surfaces with vehicle access
Suitable for exposure classes XF4 and XS3, Mapestone has high compressive strength and resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, de-icing salts and seawater
Substrates must be structurally sound, dry, solid and stable
Grout for architectural flagstone and block paving is available in neutral and dark grey (MAPESTONE PFS 2 VISCO)
Complete the system with a neutral mould resistant sealant (MAPESIL LM)
Mapestone systems have been used in projects across the world with varying climates from Italy and Spain, to Hong Kong and Norway

Limitations on Use

Protect the flooring for at least 12 hours after application.
