Description

SPIDER P SA is a top-quality prefabricated SELF-ADHESIVE bitumen membrane produced using ADESO® technology, the innovative ELASTOMERIC-PLASTOMERIC (Plastomer-Polymer Bitumen) compound laminating system developed by Polyglass SpA.

In the ADESO® membranes, the exclusive SEALLap® polyurethane self-adhesive system further improves the bond along the side laps of overlapping membranes as they are applied.

SPIDER P SA is a membrane produced to the standards set by NAT® technology, the production system for the control of polymer matrix ageing in bitumen membranes.

SPIDER P SA has a polyester nonwoven carrier, stabilized with glass strands parallel to the machine direction. The carrier gives good puncture resistance, dimensional stability, and tensile strength in all directions.

Scope of Use

No flame, self Adhesive system for waterproofing low-pitch roofing, parapets gutters and balconies. Spider P roof and deck membranes have been appraised as roof and deck membranes on buildings with:

Plywood and suspended concrete slab
Minimum falls for a roof 1:30
Minimum falls for decks 1:40
Situated in NZS 3604 Wind Zones, up to and including Extra High

Spider P roofing and decking membrane is especially suited for high risk applications:

Existing roofing and re-roof applications
Heritage buildings
Hospitals and schools
Public and civil buildings

Limitations on Use

Design requirements;

Minimum falls for a roof 1:30
Minimum falls for decks 1:40

Spider P membrane system is UV stable, but requires protection if installed on a balcony with a timber raft or tile pedestal system.

Installation requirements:

Installation must be completed by Mapei NZ ltd applicators only
The installation of any substrate must be completed by a competent trades person
Mapei NZ Ltd technical literature must be followed at all times

Statement of Building Code Compliance

This product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the NZBC:

Warranty and Maintenance

Maintenance requirements:

The membrane system must be checked regularly (at least annually) checked for damage rubbish and debris
Special care must be taken to ensure all inspections are recorded on the Care and Maintenance document, required by Mapei NZ ltd
All remedial repairs must be completed by a Mapei NZ ltd registered applicator

Warranty:

20 year durability warranty will be given to all registered projects, provided they are designed, used, installed, and maintained in accordance to Mapei NZ ltd technical literature, and are completed by a LBP roofer approved by Mapei NZ ltd
