STEICO Rigid Insulation Board is used as an external continuous insulation layer, suitable for the following:

• Timber and steel frame construction on both roofs and walls
• For roofs, a roof underlay such as Thermakraft Covertek 407 is required to be fixed on top of the boards.
• For walls, a wall underlay such as Watergate Plus, is required to be fixed on top of the boards. 

• Cannot be permanently exposed to weather elements.
• An underlay must be applied to the external face of the STEICO Rigid Insulation Board and then permanent cladding installed within the underlay exposure period.
• Not a component for structural bracing.
• STEICO Rigid Insulation Boards are tread-resistant in the areas of support but in general must NOT be walked on.

STEICO Rigid Insulation Boards meet the performance requirements of NZBC Clause, Clauses B2 Durability (B2.3.1 (a) 50 years), Clause F2 Hazardous Building Materials (F2.3.1), and Clause H1 Energy Efficiency (contributes to H1.3.1 and H1.3.2E) by testing and comparison with acceptable solutions H1/AS1 and H1/AS2 and verification methods H1/VM1 and H1/VM2 providing:

• It is not damaged, dented or fractured.
• It is installed in accordance with installation instructions.
• It is installed by or under guidance of Licensed Building Practitioners
