Dynex cavity closers can be used in conjunction with wall cladding systems on timber and steel framed buildings within the following scope:
The scope limitations of NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Paragraph 1.1 with regards to building height and floor plan area; and,
With cavity-based weatherboard, fibre cement sheet, External Insulation and Finishing Systems [EIFS], stucco and plywood wall cladding systems complying with NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 or with any proprietary cavity-based cladding system covered by a current BRANZ Appraisal or CodeMark Certification; and,
Situated in NZS 3604 Wind Zones up to, and including Extra High and specific design wind pressures up to and including design differential ultimate limit state (ULS) 2.5 kPa.
Limitations on Use
Dynex cavity closers have been designed for use in accordance with NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Paragraph 184.108.40.206. Any use outside this scope must only be undertaken once approval has been sought and granted from the manufacturer in writing.

Dynex Cavity closers meet the durability requirements of NZBC Clause B2, Performance B2.3.1 (b) 15 years and B2.3.2.
Dynex Cavity Closers are a range of extruded uPVC and polymer based flashings designed to meet the requirements of E2/AS1 and are made in New Zealand.
Dynex Cavity Closers are covered by BRANZ Appraisal No. 911 (2016).

Any painting of the cavity closers must ensure that the ventilation openings are not covered or compromised in size.
