Description

Aquaknight Warm Roof Insulated Drains feature a factory over-moulded closed-cell foam insulation block designed to integrate with warm roof membrane assemblies. The design eliminates localised thermal bridging where roof drains penetrate the insulation envelope.  

Manufactured in New Zealand, the units are supplied in a standard 300x300mm format to match standard box-gutter minimum widths and are available in various insulation panel thicknesses matching warm-roof specifications.  

Insulated options are available for Aquaknight Roof Drains, Deck Drains, and Inter-Balcony Drains.

  • Elimination of Thermal Bridging: Replaces ad-hoc site practices (such as filling voids around drains with insulation off-cuts and expanding foam) with a factory-engineered component that maintains continuous thermal performance across the roof envelope.  
  • Factory Over-Moulded Block: Closed-cell foam block is supplied pre-insulated to match or exceed the R-value of surrounding insulation boards, removing the reliance on site-applied insulation work.  
  • Simplified Site Installation: Factory-standardized sizing allows units to be dropped directly into place and secured via direct fixing to the substrate, significantly reducing on-site installation time and labor.  
  • On-Site Adaptability: Foam block can be easily trimmed on site to accommodate offset geometries or custom layout requirements without compromising detailing consistency.  
  • System Integration: Formats and panel thicknesses integrate directly into membrane manufacturers' warm roof specification sets.  
  • Quality Control & Certainty: Eliminates installation variability by replacing field-fabricated void filling with a consistent, design-aligned component.

Scope of Use
  • Suitable for commercial and residential warm roof, deck, and inter-balcony drainage applications.  
  • Designed for installation in box gutters (minimum 300mm width) and flat warm roof build-ups.  
  • Compatible with rigid sheet roof insulation boards and clamp-ring waterproofing membrane systems.  
  • Direct fixed to the roof substrate using mechanical fixings or compatible adhesives.
