Description

High performance pivot doors allow for larger, more dramatic entranceways in architectural homes. ALTHERM's pivot doors use leading European ‘FritsJurgens’ pivot gear for concealed top and bottom pivot mechanisms.

For best overall performance, pair with The AGP System® with Solux-E® or Solux Ultra® low-e glass.

  • FritsJurgens pivot gear transfers panel loads vertically rather than laterally
  • Precise control over closing speed, latching speed, and damping
  • Maximum weight of 500kg in appropriate wind exposures
  • Maximum height over 3m high, subject to site conditions
  • Compatible with AGP high performance glass, or APL’s Plus range of entrance doors
  • Flush design with drop seals at head and sill
  • Overlights and sidelights are possible
  • Maximum glass thickness of 44mm

Scope of Use
  • Suitable for broad residential use, including in apartments and buildings over 10m in height
  • Maximum height 3000mm, maximum width 2800mm, engineering dependent
Limitations on Use
  • Recommended maximum 3000mm high doors in Extra High wind zones
  • Adequate weatherproofing requires that external pivot doors are installed in sheltered porches and locations
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Specification for Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
  • Conforms to all relevant NZ Building Code clauses
In-Service History
  • Launched in 2026, to sit within APL Architectural Series ThermalHeart+ which was launched in 2023
Other Performance Attributes
  • Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
  • Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected. APL Architectural Series ThermalHeart+® products can have a different colour on the interior and exterior faces as an optional choice.
  • A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
