Description

Metro Series sliders move on an external track with fixed sidelight. External sliding doors optimise weathertightness and ensure suitability in demanding locations. Updated in 2026 to support Specific Design and EM7 applications.

For best overall performance, pair with The AGP System® with Solux-E® or Solux Ultra® low-e glass.

Key Features

Updated in 2026 to support Specific Design and EM7 applications. The system has been fully tested under cyclic water test conditions and subjected to seismic displacement
Now has 44mm platform instead of 40mm, designed to work alongside Metro Series ThermalHeart+®. Ability to specify with total interchangeability between these two ranges
Features an exterior sliding track as standard
The sill frame has a flush track to optimise inside-to-out plane
Interlocker stiles and mullions are flush in the closed position
Corner sliders (90°) are available with no corner post (exterior and interior corners)

Scope of Use

Recommended maximum 2400mm high doors in Extra High wind zones — For larger sizes consider using the APL Architectural Series
Extra sill support is available in stacking sliders with projecting external tracks
Suitable for most residential environments in larger sizes
A good option for maximum views and ventilation
Need to be used in defined maximum sizes according to the wind exposure
Overlights are possible

Limitations on Use

Note that because of the external sliding feature opening windows cannot be placed in adjoining sidelights.
For larger sizes than 2400mm high, consider using the APL Architectural Series

Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2

Other Performance Attributes

Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
