Description

Magnum commercial doors are versatile and robust and are suitable for commercial, institutional and some specialised residential settings. They can be mounted in a range of styles — hinged, on floor springs or transom closers, or constructed as sliders, bottom rolling, top hung and with electronic control. Bi-folds are also available.

Magnum doors are compatible with most of the commercial window systems offered.

Hinged
Floor sprung (pivot door)
Hung on concealed transom closers (pivot door)
Sliding — stacking on multiple tracks (with bottom rollers)
Sliding top hung

Scope of Use

Suitable for a wide range of commercial environments
Also used in some residential applications
Location and exposure suitability will depend on door type used e.g. sliding, hinged
Magnum sliders are compatible with the 100mm Shopfront suite
Need to be used in defined maximum sizes according to the wind exposure

Limitations on Use

Magnum sliding doors need good weather cover in either commercial or residential settings (consider using APL Architectural Series sliders if appropriate)
Magnum overwall sliders can be specified with appropriate detailing

Statement of Building Code Compliance

Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2

In-Service History

Launched in 1998
Some design upgrades released
Widely used by builders and specifiers

Other Performance Attributes

Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
