Description

Allco's Warm Roof System was designed to offer exceptional roofing insulation in flat or low-pitched roofs. Created in New Zealand for New Zealand conditions the Warm Roof System has been designed to ensure ultimate thermal performance, high UV protection and long-term durability.

The Warm Roof System places the insulation outside of the building envelope eliminating condensation in the roof build-up to provide the gold standard in insulation keeping homes warmer, drier and quieter.

Allco's Warm Roof System is accredited by BRANZ to comply with the new H1 requirements. The Warm Roof System utilises locally manufactured PIR insulation boards, available in thicknesses from 50mm to 150mm, achieving R-values from R2.34 to R7.01. This range allows designers to meet or exceed H1 requirements across all climate zones, with the added benefit of custom board sizes to suit specific project needs.

Another point of difference is its fully customised tapered insulation layouts, designed and pre-cut to achieve accurate falls and ensure effective drainage from the outset.

Thin Assembly with only 147.2mm build up: The full assembly — from the vapour barrier to the membrane — measures a mere 147.2mm while still achieving H1 compliance.
BRANZ Appraised: Allco's Warm Roofing System is BRANZ appraised (No 1166) meaning it meets their rigorous testing criteria and New Zealand building standards.
Locally manufactured PIR: Allco's Warm Roof System uses high-performance PIR Insulation boards manufactured in New Zealand to the highest standards; ranging from 50mm to 150mm thickness, translating into R-Values varying from R2.34 to R7.01.
Fully Adhered System = No Thermal Bridging: utilises a high strength low VOC adhesive with a superior bond strength to adhere to each layer of the build-up, eliminating the need for mechanical fasteners.
Membrane Selection — TPO and Torch On: incorporate either of Allco’s membrane systems, JM TPO Single Ply Membrane or Casali two-layer torch on. Can be incorporated into Allrite Recover roofs, green roofs or ballast roof systems.
Leak detection: compatible with the EFVM (Electric Field Vector Mapping) system.

Scope of Use

Limited-access flat roofs and trafficable decks on concrete, H3 CCA-treated plywood (≥ 17 mm) or AZ150 steel substrates.
New construction or retrofit, provided the existing substrate is sound.
Building heights and floor areas within NZBC E2/AS1, or any height when subject to specific engineering design.
Roof falls:
- Plywood roofs 1 : 30 (≈ 2°) minimum
- Concrete roofs 1 : 60 (≈ 1°) minimum
- Gutters 1 : 100 minimum
- Decks 1 : 40 minimum
Suitable for NZS 3604 Wind Zones: Low to Extra High.

Limitations on Use

Must drain to external gutters/outlets; no integral roof gardens, internal downpipes or steps within the deck.

Statement of Building Code Compliance

In the opinion of BRANZ, Allco Warmroof System, if designed, used, installed and maintained in accordance with the statements and conditions of BRANZ Appraisal 1166, will meet or contribute to meeting the following provisions of the NZBC:

Clause B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1 (b) 15 years.
Clause E2 EXTERNAL MOISTURE: Performance E2.3.1 and E2.3.2.
Clause F2 HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS: Performance F2.3.1.
Clause H1 ENERGY EFFICIENCY: Performance H1.3.1 (a).
