About TechED Engagement

Your display - Our TechED materials forums incorporate visual information, physical materials, build-ups, models and larger pieces to showcase product performance and scope to practitioner teams. All suppliers participating are expected to bring in physical materials, build-ups and technical models where possible to showcase product and materials special features, scope of use, sustainability if it applies and design solutions.

The engagement - We encourage interactive discussion and questions to evaluate attendees' acquired knowledge. Appointments are designed as casual in-practice engagement rather than formal presentations and are approx. 30 - 45 mins in duration [max. 1 hr].

The focus - EBOSS have an onsite host at each session to foster engagement and facilitate 'meet and greet' where suppliers can interact with practice staff across various teams. The focus is on physical materials with several suppliers at each appointment to maximise learning for practice teams. The opportunity promotes knowledge sharing on scope of use, ease of use, NZ Building Code, installation and special features. 

Attendee numbers - Expected staff attendee numbers vary at each practice studio however are a representation of the teams within that practice, and are usually a few staff from each of their teams [education, commercial, healthcare, interiors etc.] depending on the practice key project work. Attendees are typically graduates and intermediate staff as they are primarily the people responsible for product and specification materials research; alongside select available senior architects. 

CPD points - EBOSS is a CPD provider and will collate registration numbers of registered architects who are members of NZRAB that attend a TechED Materials Forum appointment and log 10 CPD points for attendance.
