Located at 48 Pampas Drive, the modern and contemporary house, designed and built by Golden Homes, uses ZX Panel as a dominant feature.
The designers wanted to create a unique look for the home, while ensuring the materials used were long-lasting and fit for purpose.
Golden Homes chose the ZX Panel exterior cladding system as the predominant cladding because it met their requirements, and was a cost-effective solution compared to alternative systems.
The grid layout of ZX Panel created the stylish look they were after, enhancing the overall look of the home.
ZX Panel’s non-combustible, solid-aluminium, powder-coated panels are 2mm thick and connect to the structural framing using engineered aluminium extrusions, providing a cavity-based exterior cladding system.
One of the major benefits in using ZX Panel is that minimal maintenance is required to keep the new home fresh and pristine for many years ahead, and that costly maintenance re-paints are not necessary. ZX Panel also comes with a 15-year warranty for the powder coated paint surface with Altus and Dulux.
Sustainability is one of Golden Homes’ key values so it was important that box could be ticked with ZX Panel being made from 100% recyclable aluminium, future-proofing the building and environment for years to come.
ZX Panel is also New Zealand made, locally sourced and committed to local industry, so it was a logical, easy choice.
The building team were impressed by how lightweight and easy to install the system was, as well as the fact that all leftover waste was able to be recycled.
ZX Panel is made in New Zealand by Altus. It has been fully tested and gained an S14G PASS certificate making the system fully compliant under the Building Act 2004.
The new showhome is another demonstration of the builder and supplier working together to create a project that enhances the overall look and standard of homes in the area.
