HomeRAB Pre-Cladding Provides Superior Weathertightness

What is HomeRAB Pre-Cladding?

HomeRAB Pre-Cladding is a 4.5mm thick fibre cement sheet, sealed on the face and edges, and designed for use as a rigid air barrier on residential buildings. HomeRAB Pre-Cladding provides general rigidity to the entire structure and can also be used to achieve structural bracing. It is BRANZ appraised and has a 15 year product warranty to ensure confidence when specifying and installing.

Weather-resistant

Manufactured in Auckland, HomeRAB Pre-Cladding is built to withstand New Zealand's harsh weather conditions. It can be left exposed to external elements for up to 90 days during the build process without warping or shrinking. This provides additional flexibility when installing the external cladding. The water-repellent sealer provides two key benefits; it helps dispose of moisture quickly when it comes into contact with the build, and it also resists moisture penetration. HomeRAB Pre-Cladding can also be used as a bracing element within wind zones up to and including 'Very High' — perfect for the more remote areas across the country.

Time-effective

HomeRAB Pre-Cladding is quick and easy to install. Just score, snap and nail for early lock-up and completion — ensuring a time-effective build and added security during the process. Specifying HomeRAB Pre-Cladding can also eliminate a building authority inspection when pre-line and pre-clad inspections are combined — saving even more time.
