Pink Batts: Insulation, Sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

It is well documented that effective insulation can play a major role in reducing the impact on the environment by cutting energy consumption and CO2 emissions associated with heating and cooling buildings, and that the benefit of insulating a home, in most instances, far outweighs the manufacturing impact.

However, as a manufacturing company Pink Batts accepts that its processes and activities do have an impact on the environment. As part of the company's approach to addressing this, it has an ongoing programme to continually improve its manufacturing so it can reduce its impact.

To help guide its journey, Pink Batts has conducted a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which will help benchmark its impact on the environment and highlight where it can improve. Based on this we have set some ambitious initiatives to reduce our impact.
