Alsynite's Fire Retardant Industrial Polycarbonate roofing product is now available and specifically engineered to meet the New Zealand Building Code Group 1-S classification.

Manufactured from high-tech polycarbonate resin, this new grade profiled translucent polycarbonate roofing product has been BRANZ-tested to meet the requirements of the NZBC verification method C/VM2 Appendix A. The FR 1-S Polycarbonate is available in Opal only, maximising its heat-reducing properties without compromising light transmission. Three profiles are currently available to suit most roofing profiles with more on offer in the near future.

To date the only Group 1-S Roofing product available in ultra long lengths of 11.5 metres to alleviate sheet laps and the possibility of water ingress. It is also available as a thermal barrier in a Twin Skin System where condensation and thermal resistance are a design consideration.
