Topglass GC is intended for use as translucent roofing, rooflighting and wall cladding in commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential buildings.

The product may be installed as continuous translucent sheeting or incorporated with compatible profiled metal roofing and cladding. Profile, sheet grade, support spacing, fixing requirements and minimum roof pitch are to be selected in accordance with the applicable Topglass GC technical literature and installation requirements.

Suitability for project specific wind loads, exposure conditions and structural support arrangements is to be confirmed as part of the building design.

A range of sheet weights, profiles and configurations is available to suit different roofing, cladding and daylighting applications. Product-specific technical information, installation requirements and warranty conditions are available from Alsynite.

Topglass GC must be specified and installed in accordance with Alsynite technical literature and installation requirements.

The selected sheet profile must be compatible with adjoining roofing or cladding, and appropriate allowances must be made for thermal movement, support spacing, end and side laps, sealants and fixings.

Support structure, fixing design and sheet grade must be suitable for the project-specific loads and environmental conditions.

Topglass GC translucent roofing must not be treated as a trafficable surface unless the particular product and installation have been specifically designed and documented for that purpose. Appropriate fall protection and roof access procedures are required when working on or around translucent roofing.

Topglass GC, when specified, designed and installed in accordance with Alsynite technical literature and project-specific requirements, can contribute to compliance with the following provisions of the New Zealand Building Code:

• B1 Structure — Topglass GC roofing and cladding is designed to resist applicable loads when installed with appropriate supports and fixings in accordance with the specified installation requirements.
• B2 Durability — The product incorporates UV-resistant surface protection and is intended to provide durability appropriate to its specified application and exposure conditions when installed and maintained in accordance with Alsynite requirements.
• E2 External Moisture — When correctly profiled, lapped, sealed, supported and fixed as part of a suitable roofing or cladding system, Topglass GC contributes to preventing the penetration of external moisture.
• F2 Hazardous Building Materials — Topglass GC does not present a health hazard to building occupants when used for its intended purpose.
• G7 Natural Light — As a translucent roofing or cladding product, Topglass GC can contribute to the provision of natural light within buildings.

Topglass GRP translucent roofing products have an established history of use in New Zealand and Australia in commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential roofing and cladding applications. They have been used extensively as natural daylighting sheets in conjunction with profiled metal roofing systems.

Topglass GC is manufactured with a UV-resistant surface protection system intended to reduce weathering and maintain the performance of the sheet during service.
