Survey Results on Potential Delays to Rebuilding Christchurch

Access to Designers2 590x270

With over 60% of respondents either Architects or Architectural Designers, it was interesting to note that the most critical issue was access to designers, followed closely by the Building Consent process itself. This result certainly supports the two latest developments from DBH on reviewing remedial work that does not require consents, and the local series of road shows starting on Monday to promote the process for becoming licensed Building Practitioners.

You can view individual comments based on the survey. If you have any thoughts on the results, leave a comment below. We would be especially interested any evidence of the speed of property damage claims being settled as this is obviously seen as a concern.
