The SoundDown Legato acoustic flooring system reduces noise reflection and sound transmission as well as absorbing sound. It is designed for projects where services, such as electrical, data cables, plumbing, and ventilation need to run inside the floor cavity.
The pre-assembled, castellated air battens (PAB) are loose-laid over the flooring substructure to create a service cavity of 42 – 140mm in height. Insulation is then installed between the battens, followed by the fixing of a layer of OSB, Magendure or fibre cement. This layer secures the system and its positioning.
The floor is then ready for the final floor covering to be laid.
SoundDown supplies supplementary solutions to facilitate the installation of a level entry shower as well as specifically design FireStop battens to simplify the installation of a fire door where a SoundDown Acoustic flooring system is being installed.
The SoundDown Legatto Acoustic Flooring System, if designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with SoundDown's technical documentation, may comply with or contribute to compliance with the following performance provisions of the New Zealand Building Code:
SoundDown are a leading brand in innovative acoustic rated floor systems with solutions designed to deliver a high performing acoustic mid-floor to suit almost any building.
