Window Shroud and Facade Louvre
Description

Provista Window Shrouds and Facade Louvres are precision-engineered aluminium framing systems designed to deliver architectural depth, sun shading, and privacy for exterior building facades. Manufactured from high-strength T5 temper grade alloy, these systems provide a modern lineal aesthetic while improving internal thermal comfort by reducing direct sunlight, solar glare, and heat gain.

The system features a standard 200 x 50mm rectangular profile with hidden fixings, mounted back to structural timber studs, concrete, or steel framing via concealed brackets and M12 fixings. Engineered for residential, multi-unit apartment, commercial, and industrial applications, Provista Window Shrouds and Facade Louvres can be custom-designed and finished in powder-coated or anodised colours, including textured and timber-look options.

Key Features
  • High-Strength Construction: Structural profiles are extruded from T5 temper grade aluminium alloy.
  • Solar Control & Energy Savings: Reduces solar glare and direct heat gain to support thermal comfort and lower cooling demand.
  • Privacy Enhancement: Provides visual screening for urban developments and high-density residential buildings without restricting natural daylight.
  • Hidden-Fixing System: Engineered clip and locator attachment profiles fully conceal structural brackets and fixings for a seamless exterior appearance
  • Standard & Custom Profiles: Features a 200 x 50mm rectangular section as standard, with custom designs and frame configurations available.
  • Durable Coating Options: Powder-coated or anodised finishes in all New Zealand standard colours, including Dulux Duratec and Protexture coatings for high-corrosion zones, as well as Metwood timber-look options.
Scope of Use
  • Suitable for residential homes, multi-storey apartment buildings, commercial developments, and industrial facades.
  • Window surround shrouds, sun shading louvres, visual privacy screens, and facade architectural feature framing.
  • Can be fixed to timber studs, concrete, structural steel, or composite wall assemblies.
  • Suitable for use in wind zones up to NZS 3604 Extra High Wind Zone.
  • Bracket fixings are typically spaced at 1000mm centres using M12 lag screws into framing with EPDM gasket isolators.
Limitations on Use
  • Applications outside the standard parameters set out in the Provista Technical Statement require site-specific engineering design and a Producer Statement (PS1).
  • High-corrosion coastal environments require specific coating specifications, such as Dulux Duratec powder-coating.
  • Supporting wall structures (timber, steel, or concrete framing) must be designed by others in accordance with the NZBC and relevant design standards.
