The Pacific Double Action Bi-fold Bariatric door set is designed for maximising access into bathrooms with bariatric requirements, creating easier accessibility and better use of available space, in comparison to a standard hinged door set.
It consists of a double-acting bifold door in conjunction with a hinged door in a common frame. The reduced swing action of the bi-folding doors means that, when open, the door projects into the room only a third as much as a standard door. The secondary hinged leaf can be held closed independently and only opened when required.
The Double Action Bi-fold Bariatric door set can be accessed from either direction using the same opening action.
The action of the door is also easier to open for users with mobility impairments and from a wheelchair.
A patient lifting system rail can run through the door set uninterrupted to allow patients to be hoisted in easily.
The door set consists of solid-core flush-panel door leaves mounted in a steel frame.
