Prihoda Fabric Ducting and Diffusers
Description

Prihoda fabric ducting and diffusers are designed for the transportation and distribution of air suitable for a diverse range of industries. Every system is designed from scratch specifically for each site. The aesthetics, diameter, length, air pattern is designed to produce the air flow profiles demanded by that application.

 

Key Features
  • Air distribution is improved with the increased area of fabric ducting in a room creating a platform to supply air over a larger area than traditional grilles alone. This also helps to provide a more controlled velocity and comfortable environment
  • Extremely low noise and velocity levels are created by the textile based ventilation systems which allow supply air to be delivered evenly around the room due to the large amount of duct and diffusion area in the space
  • Flame retardant polyester fabric that has a higher flame resistance than plastic ducting
  • Specially developed materials that have been subjected to extensive testing achieve specific benefits such as high rigidity and strength, negligible fibre shedding, antistatic effect, easy maintenance and stable appearance
  • Recycled material option which is manufactured from waste plastic bottles. No new hydrocarbons are used with reduced consumption of energy by 66%, water by nearly 50% and greenhouse gas emissions by over 34% during production
  • 10 year warranty is given on medium weight polyester fabrics such as Prihoda Regular, Prihoda Premium and Recycled Material. This is 99% of the material specified in most cases. 
  • Maintenance is arguably much easier with Air Socks than rigid ducting making it a more hygienic option. Fabric is typically unzipped and cleaned in a washing machine then reinstalled
  • Fabric ducting systems cost less than a rigid system and its associated grilles, especially if that system has to be insulated
  • Textile ducting systems also take less time to install
  • Customisable — look can be fashioned using any colour or with printed graphics to provide a uniquely artistic ventilation option
  • Prihoda produces comprehensive drawings and air flow graphics including REVIT and CAD drawings.

Earthquake safety:

No seismic restraining is required to meet the NZ standard NZS4219:2009. Fabric ducting is not covered in the code as it is very light weight. No further restraints other than the cable systems that support the duct are required. 

Other Performance Attributes
  • High Rigidity and Strength. Prihoda basic Classic, Premium and Recycled (PMS/PMSre/NMS/NMSre/PMI//NMI) fabrics demonstrate optimum rigidity of 1800 N/10mm in the texture and 1000 N/10mm in the weave. These parameters make tearing of the material in normal use almost impossible.
  • High Fire Resistance. The PMI/NMI/PMS/NMS  fabrics are certified to European standard EN 13501-1 with excellent results. Fabrics achieve B-s1,d0 classification, which means prevention of spread of fire, minimum smoke production and no burning drops. Glass (NHE) fabrics in fact meet class A requirements. Classic, Premium and Recycled (PMI/NMI/PMS/PMSre) fabrics are also certified to US norm UL 723.
  • Negligible Fibre Shedding. Due to the use of endless fibres, all Prihoda fabrics can be used in cleanrooms up to ISO Class 4. Independent laboratory tests demonstrate that there is practically no particle shedding from the material during operation.
  • Antistatic Effect. Woven carbon fibre in Premium (PMI/NMI) and Durable (NMR) materials removes any build up of electric charge from the surface of the fabric.
  • Antibacterial Effect. Utilises a special treatment which guarantees that no bacteria can survive if settled on to the fabric Premium (PMI/NMI) and Durable (NMR). This treatment remains effective after multiple washing. Tests for the European standards found that after ten washes there was no reduction in the efficacy of the treatment.  This allows Prihoda to offer a 10 year warranty on the basis of the minimal maintenance requirements.
  • Easy to maintain. The fabrics, which are manufactured using endless fibres, are very effective and minimise settlement of impurities from the supply air. This supply air is distributed through the diffuser perforations, and the Fabric Ducts remain relatively clean inside (in a normal environment). They do not require any other maintenance than outer dusting. Washing is normally only required for either hygiene or aesthetic reasons.
  • Stable Appearance. Thanks to Prihoda's endless fibre technology, the appearance of the fabric does not change over time, or with multiple washing cycles, unlike materials made of basic fibres. The Premium, Classic a Recycled (PMI/NMI/PMS/NMS/PMSre/NMSre) materials remain aesthetic after many maintenance cycles
