Description

A roof-mounted solar-powered fan on proprietary flashing, primarily used for attic ventilation, suitable for roof spaces up to 250m²

The unit is completely solar-powered and automatically runs without the need to manually turn it on or off. No electricians are required for installation and no batteries to replace in the future. 

A cooler attic means a cooler house, helping to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption.

Scope of Use
  • Roof mounted system installed with proprietary Hometech roof flashing (BRANZ Appraisal 665) and vent cap
  • Single roof space  (up to):
    • 100m² (small)
    • 250m² (large)
  • Options of ducting to 1 room

Ideal for:

  • New or existing buildings
  • Attics, garages
  • Public toilets

Installation:

  • Diameter: 250mm and 350mm
Limitations on Use
  • Installation to be carried out to Hometech's recommendations
  • Airflow varies depending on the amount of solar harvestable by the solar panel
  • Recommended roof area calculated based on 5ACH for ceiling to ridge height 1.8m. Specific areas will vary depending on roof pitch. Contact Hometech for specification assistance on roof pitches over 25°
  • For every 50m² of roof area a minimum 0.35m² of intake vents should be provided

Terms and conditions apply.

At regular intervals following installation, the fan and solar panel should be inspected and cleaned to ensure there is no build-up of dirt or other deposits. It is recommended this is done as part of a scheduled yearly maintenance program.
