Description

Metro Series sliding windows use the sliding door frame but have smaller sliding panel rails, inter-locker stiles and mullions. Stiffening boxes on inter-locker stiles and mullions are flush in the closed position.

Wide formats are possible with a maximum of six panels — two stacking towards one jamb and two stacking the other way.

For best overall performance, pair with The AGP System® with Solux-E® or Solux Ultra® low-e glass.

Metro Series occupies an intermediate position between First Residential and the APL Architectural Series
Metro sliding windows use the sliding door system frame but have smaller interlocker stiles, mullions and bi-parting meeting stiles
The sill frame has a flush track
Interlocker stiles and mullions are flush in the closed position
Corner sliders (90º) are available with no corner post (exterior and interior corners)
Ideal for non-projecting or servery windows
Wide opening is possible in bi-parting or stacking configurations

Need to be used in defined maximum sizes according to the wind exposure

Limitations on Use

Consider the ease of reaching to the window catch if the sliding panel is placed beyond a bench
Some weather protection above e.g. wide eaves recommended to protect open windows

Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2

Other Performance Attributes

Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
