Bostik Wallboard Gold adheres to most common building materials, including:

• Formica
• Particle board
• Steel and aluminium
• Timber and hardboard
• Plasterboard, cement sheet and concrete
• Brick work
• LOSP and CCA treated timber

• Not suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon.
• Not suitable for plasticised PVC, such as PVC coated fabrics. (Contact Bostik for information on alternative options.)
• All adhesive must be dried for at least 2 weeks before wallpapering or painting is carried out over boards bonded with Bostik Wallboard Gold Original.
• Do not use on copper or brass
• Do not use on expanded polystyrene foam
• Maximum working time of Wallboard Gold adhesive between contact and pressure application is 60 minutes.
• Cold and/or humid conditions, and use on less porous surfaces will extend the drying time. 
• Some wall panels are solvent sensitive. A water based adhesive like Bostik Gold Ultra is recommended where vinyl is to be applied.
• Do not use Bostik Wallboard Gold Original where plasticiser migration may occur e.g. vinyl flooring, vinyl wallpaper. A water based adhesive such as Bostik Gold Ultra is recommended.
• At least one substrate surface should be permeable material such as wood, cement or plasterboard.
• Do not bond to painted or coated surfaces as the solvent in the product may weaken the coating.
• Discolours upon prolonged exposure to direct sunlight

Surface Preparation:

• Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry. Surfaces must be free from all loose paint, dust, grease and release agents.

   

Bostik Wallboard Gold Original, if designed, used, installed and maintained in accordance to the information provided by Bostik New Zealand, will contribute to or meet the following provisions of the NZBC:

• Clause B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1 (b), 15 years and B2.3.1 (c), 5 years.
• Clause F2 HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS: Performance F2.3.1.

• Interior and exterior: yearly inspection and repair of defects as found is required.
