Smartwood Sliding Doors

Smartwood Sliding doors slide on an outside track and can be built in configurations with up to three stacking panels sliding towards each jamb.

Matching sightline adaptors are available with sidelights. Opening overlights are possible. Opening sashes can be included in sidelights uncovered by a sliding panel.

  • Smartwood sliding doors slide on an exterior track
  • Accompanying opening windows for ventilation can be used in overlights or (non-stack) adjoining fixed panels 
  • Three sliding panels stacking in front of an adjoining fixed light are possible for maximum opening
  • A PVC thermal insulator between the aluminium and timber cladding prevents condensation transfer and enhances thermal performance

Scope of Use
  • Suitable for most residential environments
  • Need to be used in defined maximum sizes according to the wind exposure 
  • Narrow stiles and large glass expanses maximise views in the closed position
Limitations on Use
  • For enhanced flush indoor-outdoor levels consider recessing the sill into the floor pad to minimise or eliminate upstand
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233:  Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
  • Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2

Other Performance Attributes
  • Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
  • Smartwood products need sealing after installation with an appropriate finish e.g. oiled, varnished, stained or painted; regular care and restoration recommended
  • Aluminium surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
  • A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
