APL Architectural Series Sliding Windows
New APL 2019 Specifier Guide now available Order now
Description

Sliding windows use the sliding door frame and panels move on an outside track. They can meet at 90° corners without the need for a corner post.

Most configurations include a fixed side panel. However, a bypass slider option is available where two or more panels are configured to open from opposing ends.

Key Features
  • Designed for suitability for Extra High wind zones and Specific Design applications
  • APL Architectural Series sliding windows use the sliding door frame but generally have smaller interlocker stiles, mullions and bi-parting meeting stiles
  • The sill frame has both sloped and flush track options
  • The sloped sill option has a smaller top and bottom rail
  • Interlocker stiles and mullions are flush in the closed position
  • Ideal for non-projecting or servery windows
Scope of Use
