Simpson Strong-Tie is excited to introduce its newest BRANZ Appraised product: the DTT1Z Bracewall Holdown Solutions.

Two unique DTT1Z solutions have been specifically developed to provide bracewall holdowns for timber mid- and sub-floors, and thermal edge concrete slabs, where current solutions were often difficult to make work. These solutions are designed for external and internal bracewalls in buildings constructed in accordance with NZS 3604:2011 with a holdown capacity that exceeds the typical 15kN requirement.

DTT1Z Kits

DTT1Z-KT (Timber):
(4) DTT1Z; (4) SDWH27800G; (24) SD#9 x 38mm

Utilising a timber screw as the anchor into timber this requires no pre-drilling and the narrower DTT1Z bracket width allows for installation centred over the joist/bearer below.

DTT1Z-KTM (Concrete):
(4) DTT1Z; (4) THD08140MG; (24) SD#9 x 38mm

Specifically tested with smaller concrete screw anchors that enable a minimal concrete slab edge distance of only 35mm.
