Stone-Coated Steel Panel System Offers Fast and Easy Installation

The new profile is derived from years of experience in manufacturing the finest stone coated roofing products worldwide and new technology, making it the first two courses, corrugated, interlocking side and head lap, concealed fastening profile. Not only are the fixings concealed from sight, but they are also concealed from the elements (rain, sleet and snow).

The CF Shingle panels are designed to be installed direct to deck from right to left and use accessories designed and developed specifically for the CF High Performance Roofing System to keep water out. Although the system sheds water, it still allows for continuous airflow under the panels. The system is designed to be installed easily and can be cut on the roof with a circular saw.

Gerard Roof's first CF Shingle roof was installed in February in California, USA. The homeowners, Mr. and Mrs. Martin began a large remodelling project last summer. Their ranch style home had a 15-year-old asphalt shingle roof which was worn out by the harsh summer sun and high winds. When discussing options, the Martins were concerned about having to re-roof again in 10-15 years, the summer heat and their cooling bills. They were also concerned about tearing off the old roof and disposing it into the local landfills. Finally, they chose the CF Shingle With an interlocking Secure Lock (SL) lap system, no bend flashings, a genuine concealed fastening method to affix panels to the roof.

The panels were screwed down around the perimeter for high winds, with the field installed with nails. The panels were cut on the roof using battery operated saws and no pattern was followed. The result was a fast clean installation.
