ThermoPine is the latest addition to JSC’s thermally modified timber offerings, there to meet the demands of modern interiors while celebrating local craftsmanship. Made from responsibly sourced, premium Radiata #1 Clears, ThermoPine is grown, modified, and profiled entirely in New Zealand, supporting local industry and keeping environmental impact low.
Using a natural thermal modification process with only heat and steam, ThermoPine offers improved dimensional stability and reduced moisture absorption. This means less movement over time, making it a reliable choice for interior environments. The process also produces a warm, rich colour and tonal depth that enhances both contemporary and classic spaces.
Unlike many laminated alternatives, ThermoPine is made from single-piece, solid timber profiles with no glues or bonding. It is a natural, non-toxic product that is safe for indoor use. Available in brushed, dressed, or lightly sanded finishes, ThermoPine works beautifully with both oil and water-based coatings, including JSC’s Scumble, JSC Coda, and JSC Coda Lux Wax ranges for a wide variety of tones and finishes.
Suitable applications include feature walls, ceiling panels, and interior battens. For batten applications, ThermoPine is compatible with standard battens as well as the JSC Clipp Batten System, providing a streamlined and efficient installation solution. A variety of standard profiles are available, with custom options on request. View the TMT Panelling Profile Chart for details.
